Competitive Wages and Benefits Package

ROLE: The Payroll Associate will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payrolls for salaried, hourly, full time and part-time employees in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy of data and legal compliance.  Compile data for and run internal management reports as directed.

HOURS:  This is a full-time, hourly position (40 hours/week).  Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


  • Process multiple bi-weekly payrolls (U.S. and/or Canada).
  • Process employment changes, garnishments, insurance and voluntary deductions.
  • Calculate and process manual payroll checks when needed.
  • Calculate and enter paid and unpaid time off request forms.
  • Monitor timecards for completeness and accuracy.
  • Review and audit payroll each pay period prior to processing.
  • Create payroll journal entries.
  • Provide administrative support for benefits management.


  • Payroll Best Practices:  Understanding of current payroll concepts and employment regulations
  • Financial Management:  Strong analytical and auditing skills
  • Technical Capacity:  Proven experience and a high level of competency with Office Suite products and payroll systems/software
  • Communication Proficiency:  Effective Communicator (written and verbal) with highly developed organizational skills, and the ability to work well on a team and independently
  • Ethical Conduct: High moral integrity and confidentiality required
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize duties and meet payroll processing deadlines.


  • Associate's degree (A.A) in accounting or finance or more than years of related experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • 10-key Proficient
  • Two or more years of experience with ADP software and programs (Workforce Now and/or Pay@Work) preferred. 
  • Experience with multi-state or provincial payrolls preferred
